The NC Diamond Pinky Ring

For a century, ivy covered the façade of The Northern Club — climbing, curling, pressing itself into every crevice of the stone. When the restoration required it to come down, what emerged beneath was extraordinary: the clean architecture of the building and a series of window arches, precise and deeply beautiful, patiently waiting under the leaves all along.

Alice stood before those arches and began dreaming of this ring.

The NC Diamond Pinky Ring holds both stories at once: an ivy leaf and soft arches cradle the centre stone. The leaf’s edge dips down the finger and a sculptural gold tendril reaches up from the opposite side of the band. It is organic and architectural. Memory and revelation.

Made from New Zealand alluvial gold, mined from the rivers of the West Coast — the most environmentally friendly form of gold mining – traceable and ethically sourced, with no chemicals used. Gold has been drawn from the West Coast since the rush of the 1860s, the same decade The Northern Club first opened its doors. This is not simply a ring made in New Zealand. It is a ring made of it.
