From New Zealand > New York > Dallas and around the World
What a 6 weeks it's been! Have to say there's no place quite like home but I've had a total blast visiting my new US retail partners and being invited on board The M/V World mega yacht. I thought I'd share a few of my favourite moments with you all.
My time started in New York at Muse in the East Village. Super cool, design orientated jewellery showroom. Fun and colourful, as are their wonderful team. Their selection of my pieces suit the everyday diamond wearers with a love of art and something a little bit different to your other friends and colleagues (not the above rings - they're in Dallas!).
I couldn't have been in New York without some time trotting around Central Park on my morning runs, meeting a colleague in NY's Diamond District and on the Museum Mile. The skyline is epic, as in the architecture. A country girl at heart but I really do love this city and mixing in with the early morning jogging groups smashing it out around the park. About as local as it gets!
Next stop: The Conservatory in Dallas - a beautiful concept store. Here's me above inside the 'jewellery house'.
Brian, the owner, has curated a stunning selection of everything you just didn't know you needed. From delectable clothes labels, can't even call them 'fashion' labels as the names are so iconic and classic it doesn't do them justice and they'll last a lifetime, to an apothecary, the finest jewels (of course) and homeware.
It goes without saying that their selection of my jewels contain the majority of the serious 'heavy hitters' from the Istoria collection. I loved meeting their clients and seeing them interact with my pieces during my time there and look forward to my next visit.
M/V The World - what an experience! Not a lot I can share about this experience because of the level of privacy given to the Residents on boards as it is their home.
Just to say that I took a selection of my jewels and showed these and my design process to some wonderfully interesting people from around the world who choose to travel and live on board a beautiful yacht with all the trimmings, visiting some of the world's most special places. Memories made and some fantastic connections made.
Back to my wonderful home that is New Zealand. Forever grateful that we get to live in such paradise, although, as proven above, working quite hard to spread the love of fine New Zealand jewels to do so!
